Our Story
Established in 2020, Naturally Nurtured is what we lovingly call our “lockdown baby.” During those turbulent and unfamiliar times, our family faced numerous challenges while adjusting to a new way of living. It was then that we realized how limited our access had become to the hair and beauty products we relied on.
With two daughters and three sons, each with different hair types (six if you include mine!), we struggled to find the right products. This challenge sparked my journey into making our own. I spent countless hours researching oils, butters, herbs, and powders, diving deep into the wealth of information available. What began as a desperate attempt to manage my family’s hair quickly evolved into a passion for transforming the black hair and beauty market.
Through my research, I discovered that many “black-owned” hair brands were using the cheapest ingredients while charging premium prices. This revelation fueled my determination to create high-quality products that promote health and growth at an affordable price. Some might wonder why I choose to sell my products for less when I could charge more, but the answer is simple: because I care, and I can.
